EVANS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS EXPANDS IN VIRGINIA, DOUBLING CAPACITY
| MELVINDALE, Mich., May 21, 2007 - Evans Distribution Systems, a full-service third-party logistics provider of warehousing, transportation and value-added solutions, is expanding and partnering with an established Suffolk, Va., warehouse company in order to build its roster of international clients looking to move product more efficiently into and out of the United States. By relocating its operation to Commonwealth Storage's distribution complex located at 330 Moore Ave. in Suffolk, and acquiring the third-party logistics portion of Commonwealth's business (which included Atlantic Packaging and Hampton Roads Logistics), Evans Distribution Systems has doubled its capacity and expanded its customer base in this market. Evans will integrate the new customers with its current Virginia customer base, and the newly combined operation will commence this month operated by Evans' Progressive Distribution Centers division. "We've been growing in the Suffolk community for more than four years, and now we're moving to a larger, more modern facility where we can service our current accounts and continue to build our global client base," said John A.
