MELVINDALE, Mich., February 17, 2010 – Evans Distribution Systems announced today that Doug Ostrowski, the company’s vice president of transportation, has been reappointed to the Michigan Public Service Commission Motor Carrier Advisory Board for 2010. Ostrowski’s one-year term involves serving as a liaison between the Michigan government and motor carrier industry, and leading vital discussions on regional issues and transportation trends.

“This reappointment is testament to Doug’s motor carrier expertise,” said Evans Distribution President John A. Evans. “He is proactive, understands the state’s unique transportation issues and will lend insight on best practices that will benefit freight transportation vendors, local businesses and the economy as a whole.”

The Michigan Public Service Commission is an agency within the Department of Labor and Economic Growth, responsible for the insurance and safety regulation of the intrastate for-hire trucking industry and the rate and consumer protection regulation of the intrastate household goods moving industry.
