Evans Named Top 100 3PL Provider For Seventh Year

MELVINDALE, Mich., August. 1, 2009 – Evans Distribution Systems has been named one of the Top 100 Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers in the United States for the seventh consecutive year by Inbound Logistics magazine.

Evans, a family-owned company with an 80-year history in the Detroit area, specializes in high-quality logistics services designed to reduce complexity and make logistics easier for their customers. The company provides warehousing and distribution, transportation management, packaging, quality inspection, staffing and other value-added logistics services to companies in various industries, including those in automotive, food and beverage, chemical and retail businesses.

Inbound Logistics, a leading industry trade publication, evaluated 300 logistics companies in compiling its annual rankings. The service providers the editors selected possess skill sets and resources capable of matching most outsourcing needs. Editors make their selection with the goal of providing a balanced and accurate assessment of readers’ needs and the 3PLs best-suited to meet their specific requirements.

Felicia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics Magazine, is quoted as saying, “Inbound Logistics readers say great 3PL relationships are built not just on cost savings but on consistent customer service. Clearly, customer service is fundamental in measuring 3PL excellence. Evans provides that level of customer service and that is why it has been recognized by Inbound Logistics editors as a 2009 Top 100 3PL Provider.”
