Evans Distribution Systems Accredited To Revised ISO 9001 Standards

MELVINDALE, Mich., October 25, 2010 –

Evans Distribution Systems, a full-service third-party logistics provider of warehousing, transportation and value-added solutions, has recently been accredited to the revised ISO 9001:2008 standard for quality management systems. Evans originally obtained ISO accreditation in 1999 and has upheld this certification continuously since then.

“We are pleased to have achieved re-certification this year to the revised ISO 9001:2008 standard,” said Karen Toth, Quality Systems Manager at Evans. “Evans is committed to providing a high level of customer satisfaction in all the services we provide and our quality programs are an essential part of ensuring we achieve this.”

Evans Distribution Systems is also currently in the process of achieving certification through the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) Program. “With our large presence in the Detroit area, close to the Canadian border, and so many of our customers importing goods from overseas, C-TPAT certification is important as we work together with our customers to ensure secure supply chains,” said Leslie Ajlouny, Vice-President of Business Development at Evans. “The enhanced security requirements provide an additional level of comfort for each of our customers.” Evans anticipates final approval for C-TPAT certification early in 2011.
