EVANS LAUNCHES LOGISTICS STAFFING COMPANY
MELVINDALE, Mich., Jan. 12, 2009- Third-party logistics provider Evans Distribution Systems announced today it has launched Evans
Resource Solutions, a professional staffing service dedicated to placing qualified logistics workers into temporary positions.
Evans Distribution Systems, with its experience in warehousing, transportation, quality inspection and packaging, is offering
supplemental staffing to meet the needs of companies hesitant to hire long-term talent in a challenging economy, yet need workers
on a project basis who understand the logistics business.
"With this economy, we have seen more companies seek out temporary staffing to complete jobs," said Leslie Ajlouny,
vice president of business development for Evans Distribution Systems. "It's common in the supply chain to experience
peaks when inventory needs to be sorted, packaged, or inspected but it doesn't always justify hiring full-time personnel.
This service helps companies stay competitive; they're able to meet their deadlines and get the product to its destination
without a hitch."
Based on a company's specific requirements, Evans Resource Solutions recruits qualified candidates and handles the required
pre-screening, testing and training. Staff can be provided for positions including assembly, inventory control, inspection,
quality testing, shipping and receiving, material handling, hi-lo operation, packaging and re-packing, and truck driving.
Ajlouny believes that if a company needs short-term logistics help, it's best to get that talent from a logistics company that
knows the inner workings of the industry. Evans Resource Solutions helps its clients maximize their time by providing qualified
candidates already properly trained for the job.
"Every day at Evans, we're thinking of ways to make the supply chain easier for our customers," said Ajlouny. "This
service is an example of how Evans responds to client needs and develops practical solutions that simplify and make business
operations more efficient."
