Pick-to-light is the type of automated order picking system used in warehouses and distribution centers to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the order picking process. This system typically consist of a series of lights and buttons located at the pick face, which are used to guide workers to the correct items and quantities for an order. When an order is received, the system illuminates the light associated with each item to be picked, indicating the location and quantity of each item. The worker then selects the items and confirms the pick using the buttons, and the system updates the order status and moves on to the next pick.

Pick-to-clear is a type of inventory management strategy in which the warehouse picks from locations with the least amount of product on hand in order to clear the area.

Picking is the process of selecting and collecting items from the warehouse for shipment.

A picker is a person in charge of picking specific stock for orders.

Pick time is the time it takes to pick and document specific stock for an order.
